We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to join our growing team working across high-voltage electricity transmission projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing Mechanical & Electrical site operations within National Grid substations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day M&E site activities on transmission and substation projects
* Ensure compliance with National Grid procedures and site safety regulations
* Coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
* Monitor project progress, quality, and HSE performance
* Ensure works are delivered in line with NEC contracts and construction methodologies
* Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
Essential Requirements
* NG Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 Full
* Previous experience working within the Electricity Transmission industry
* Competent working in substations from 66kV to 400kV
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site management
* Knowledge of NEC contracts
* Strong understanding of HSE legislation
* 3-Day First Aid qualification
* Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* IT literate
* Previous or current authorisation to National Grid TP137, including impressed voltage awareness
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations
* CITB / SMSTS / NEBOSH / IOSH
* Temporary Works Supervisor qualification
* HSG47 or equivalent
* Working knowledge of National Grid transmission procedures
* MUST HAVE National Grid Person certification
* Manual Handling certification
