Community based - London Borough of Richmond
The Connect to Work team seeks a part-time Employment Specialist. You will manage a caseload of up to 20-25 participants, delivering person-centred support under the Supported Employment Quality Framework to create and follow an individualised action plan. You will engage with employers to support people into sustainable work, work with referral partners to promote the benefits of employment, and collaborate with health practitioners to provide holistic support for participants. You will support people who have a learning disability or autism, and promote diversity and inclusion by directly engaging with employers. This is a community-based role requiring travel around the Richmond Borough and occasionally Wandsworth Borough.
About the role – Connect to Work
Connect to Work is a national UK government-funded initiative aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or other complex challenges in finding and maintaining employment. The program offers tailored assistance, including one-to-one coaching, employer engagement, and help with tailored job applications. Participants can receive up to 12 months of guidance if seeking employment, or up to 4 months if currently employed but at risk of losing their job.
Responsibilities
* Caseload management – manage a caseload of up to 20-25 participants and provide holistic, personalised support to each individual.
* Performance and quality – follow strict service delivery processes and work toward contractual targets and KPIs.
* Employer engagement – approach employers directly to seek vacancies, promote equality and inclusion, and discuss reasonable adjustments for participants.
* Record keeping – maintain detailed casenotes, forms, and plans; extensive use of CRM and Microsoft applications.
* Referral partners – work with referral partners to promote the service and identify suitable individuals.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Knowledge and experience of supporting others to achieve goals and outcomes.
* Excellent understanding of the Supported Employment Quality Framework.
* Outstanding communication skills for engaging with client groups and businesses at all levels.
* Problem-solving skills to help participants overcome barriers.
* Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft apps and CRM.

Contract/Salary – £37,602 - £45,564 pro-rata
