To support further growth, NI Chamber seeks to appoint a talented and credible Business Development Manager to engage, recruit and retain a portfolio of members and to ensure the consistent delivery of a high level of service to them. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for planning purposeful and professional sales activity, identifying prospective members and understanding how NI Chamber membership and services can meet their business needs. In addition to securing new members, they will proactively manage a range of existing members, increasing engagement and retention levels whilst working with the member services, policy and communications teams to optimise their membership. As a key contact for new and existing members, the Business Development Manager will liaise with NI Chamber colleagues to make recommendations and drive projects to develop new services which further enhance member benefits and will recognise new opportunities for promotion for their member portfolio.
Successful candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
1. Significant experience in a sales, business development or account management (to include new account development) within a business-to-business setting.
2. Proven experience of working to and achieving sales and / or retention targets.
3. A demonstrable interest and a sound understanding of the Northern Ireland business landscape.
4. An ability to engage and build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders along with evidence of a well-developed business network.
5. Strategic thinker with experience of developing campaigns or plans that deliver against customer strategic priorities.
6. Professional and articulate with the ability to act as an ambassador of NI Chamber in the public arena.
