Clinical Fellows in Lower Limb Arthroplasty
Applications are invited for Clinical Fellows in Lower Limb Arthroplasty role at NHS Scotland, starting as soon as possible for an initial period of 6 months with the potential to be extended.
The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital Orthopaedic department is one of the largest Arthroplasty units within the UK, with 25 orthopaedic Consultants. The department undertakes approximately 4000 primary and revision joint replacements and over 500 other elective orthopaedic procedures per year.
Depending on the post offered, the successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of modern hip and knee arthroplasty surgery, including robotic and computer navigated knee replacements. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in audit and research.
Candidates should ideally have completed a basic Orthopaedic Registrar training program and passed the appropriate examinations (MRCS compulsory, FRCS Orth. desirable). Candidates without MRCS will not be considered for interview.
