Salary: £37,870 – £39,851 per annum (dependent on experience)
Salary will be paid at Outer London Main Pay Scale – M1, reflecting the Early Career Teacher level.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Modern Foreign Languages to join a high-achieving and well-supported secondary school in Brent.

Key Responsibilities
• Teach Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress in line with school and national expectations
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment and language-based activities
Requirements
Essential:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing a PGCE in MFL
• Ability to teach Spanish and French at KS3, and at least one language to KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for language learning
• Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Desirable:
• Ability to teach both Spanish and French to KS4
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools during training placements
• Familiarity with GCSE exam specifications (e.g. AQA, Edexcel)
• Interest in contributing to trips, exchanges, or language clubs
