Role: Learning Support Assistant
Pay rate: up to £650 per week
Location: Kingston-upon-Thames
Start date : Immediate start (Full-time Monday to Friday)

Horizon Teachers have a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support assistant to join a two-form entry school that delivers an exciting curriculum containing attention-grabbing topics.

Key responsibilities:
To work with individual and/or groups of Early Years students to support the transition into the classroom and access to the curriculum
Contribute to teachers' planning and preparation as appropriate
Provide verbal/written feedback to the teacher
Assist in the selection and preparation of teaching resources in order to meet individual and group pupil needs and interest
Use behaviour management strategies, in line with school policy and procedures
Recognise and challenge any incidents of inappropriate behaviour ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures
To work as part of a team and enjoy working with students and professional including specialist therapy providers
Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment
To supervise pupils during leisure time including on the playground
Participate in inset days, training activities and sessions offered by the school and other external agencies
