A nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Bushey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. The school supports pupils with autism and complex needs, providing a structured environment and outstanding multi-agency collaboration.
The Role
This full-time, term-time position is ideal for someone caring, proactive, and committed to helping children flourish. Whether you're experienced in SEN or just starting out, you'll be welcomed and supported by a knowledgeable and friendly team.
Key Duties
Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and related needs
Assist with tailored learning and therapeutic activities
Encourage development of communication, social, and life skills
Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
Provide personal care when required
Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress tracking
What We’re Looking For
SEN experience (preferred but not essential)
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Eagerness to learn and engage in training
Reliable, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
