The Role
You will be responsible for delivering the full lifecycle of Programmable Electronic Systems (PES) projects, from design and requirements capture through to site validation and handover. Your daily activities will include stakeholder management, requirements definition, review of technical deliverables, risk management, and coordinating supply chain activities to ensure project success. You will work closely with multi-discipline teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements, particularly within nuclear or similarly regulated sectors.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Proven experience managing control system requirements and PES lifecycle delivery
Extensive knowledge of ISO/IEC 15288 or equivalent processes
Familiarity with industrial cyber security standards such as BS 62443
Experience working with the V-Model and delivering PES systems in regulated environments
Ability to undertake site visits for validation and stakeholder management
Demonstrable experience managing PES deliverables and teams across project phases
Experience managing supply chain delivery within NEC3 or similar contractual frameworks
At least five years working within delivery lifecycle roles involving systems/PES design
At least three years in regulated, quality-assured environments such as nuclear
Strong communication skills and ability to interact across all organisational levels
Knowledge of legislative frameworks including the Nuclear Installations Act, Site Licence Conditions, and safety regulations
Degree qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and professional registration (minimum IEng)Desirable:
Experience with Sellafield processes and tools such as HAZOPS, URS, SIDs, and CONCISE
Familiarity with Sellafield’s enterprise management systems and lifecycle procedures
