Join the Close Brothers Retail Finance Team as a Resilience Analyst (RA) where you willact as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community.Working with IT and business clients, the RA will capture, clarify, and design business requirements and processesfrom which applications, recovery plans and solutions are developed to ensure the operational resilience of the Retail function.
Our ideal team member will have a good understanding of the retail lending market and the relevant soft skills to communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders. We're looking for someone who works well within a team as well as individually and importantly who hasa a good attitude and both the willingness and desire to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead on core elements of the Operational Resilience Program across one of the business units within the Retail Division - Motor Finance, Premium Finance or Savings.
* Capture and maintain process maps for the Important Business Services (IBS) to facilitate resilience testing.
* Facilitate scenario testing to identify vulnerabilities within each IBS.
* Work with central functions, project teams and senior stakeholders to mitigate any vulnerabilities identified.
* Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
* Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into operational resilience and identifies options for consideration.
* Work with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
* Contribute to selection of the business analysis methods, tools and techniques to develop the operational resilience of the organisation, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
* Establish the requirements base-lines, obtaining formal agreement to requirements, and ensuring traceability to source.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU ARE/HAVE:
* Able to investigate defined business areas and IT systems and adopt an analytical approach when developing models to represent those systems.
* Good interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders.
* Good understanding of business and business skills.
* Shows a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
* Aware of the rationale for business analysis and the application of business analysis skills and techniques within the business change and software development life cycles.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
* Have experience working within a similar line of work or within the Motor Finance industry.
