Your Role: We’re on the lookout for a talented Software Engineer with a solid grounding in Node.js, microservices, and RESTful APIs. You’ll be joining a collaborative product team, shaping complex digital systems that improve lives across the UK. From high-availability cloud platforms to AI-powered integrations, you’ll be at the heart of meaningful technology delivery. What You’ll Be Doing: Developing scalable backend services using Node.js and Moleculer microservices. Creating and consuming RESTful APIs to support integrated platforms. Supporting and enhancing enterprise-grade digital solutions across healthcare and housing. Collaborating with a cross-functional team of developers, product owners, and tech leads. Participating in code reviews, writing clean unit tests (e.g. with Jest), and contributing to system architecture discussions. What We’re Looking For: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js development. Knowledge of microservice architecture and tools like Moleculer. Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, MongoDB/Redis, and MySQL. Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and MVC patterns. Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, JQuery). Version control using Git. Bonus Points For: Experience with ColdFusion / Lucee, PHP, or container tools like Kubernetes. Exposure to React or interest in working with frontend frameworks. Knowledge of AI/LLMs, accessibility, and modern CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of Azure and load-balanced server environments. What’s In It for You?
