You'll be joining a growing SaaS business at an exciting stage of their digital transformation, helping to shape and scale a modern data platform that enables reliable, well-structured data for engineering, analytics, and business decision-making.
You'll cover the end-to-end data lifecycle, from building and orchestrating pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Logic Apps, to delivering reliable data integration across Azure services and Snowflake. You'll also develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes to transform data into analytics-ready structures, and design scalable data models using dbt.
They have an ethos of trusting people to do the job properly with lots of autonomy and opportunities for progression are also very real with tangible metrics in place to move into a Lead Engineer role within 18 months as the team continues to grow.
Your day-to-day will involve:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining pipelines using Azure Data Factory & Azure Logic Apps & related tech.
* Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources into Azure data services.
* Developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing to ensure consistent, high‐quality releases
* Designing scalable architectures using tools like dbt & Snowflake.
* Working alongside stakeholders to identify / refine data requirements, ensuring data is accessible & aligns with business needs.
You'll likely be a great fit if you:
* Can demonstrate advanced knowledge of cloud services (Fabric or Databricks products, or Azure Data Lakes, Data Factory, Function Apps & Logic Apps alongside data modelling).
* Have proficiency in Python and strong SQL knowledge with experience working with RMDBS.
* Are familiar with and have working knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD processes.
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-technical colleagues.
Salary on offer is up to £65K & the team works on a mostly remote basis with 1-day per fortnight from their offices in Manchester (M1).
