Job Description
The Role
You’ll be joining a small, highly skilled team responsible for the design, development, and support of complex electronic devices that power advanced systems used globally. Working across the full product lifecycle, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on with everything from schematic capture and PCB layout to firmware and FPGA design.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and development of analogue and digital hardware.
* Schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design.
* Test, debug, and fault-finding of electronic systems.
* Contribution to firmware and FPGA design.
* Supporting products through their lifecycle, including upgrades and obsolescence management.
* Developing test processes and equipment.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a genuine curiosity to keep learning. Training and support will be provided to help fill in any gaps, but you should bring:
Essential
* Degree in Electronic Engineering (2:1 or above) or equivalent.
* Strong electronic design skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach.
Desirable
* Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
* Experience in FPGA design (VHDL, Intel Quartus Prime).
* PCB design experience (Altium Designer).
* Knowledge of communication interfaces (Ethernet, RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C).
* Embedded software experience in C/C++.
* Familiarity with transitioning designs into production.
