Elvet Recruitment are working with a well-established wealth management firm that is looking to add a Trainee Paraplanner to their office in the County Durham area.

As the Trainee Paraplanner, you'll play a key role in producing consistently high-quality suitability letters and reports to support the Partner in informing and advising clients on financial strategies, plans, and products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Practice Management
* Ensure all relevant processes are completed in a timely and effective manner to support other members of the team.
* Work within and stay up to date with template changes and advice notes.
* Stay abreast of legislative changes and other regulatory issues taking necessary action as required.
Business Processing
* Assimilate and segregate information gathered by the Partner
* Liaise with the Partner and Client as appropriate to complete any required information.
* Use checklists to ensure quality of documentation is suitable.
* Prepare suitability letters and reports in liaison with administrators.
* Take responsibility for updating Client files and system records, as required, in respect of suitability letters & reports.
* Liaise with Head Office administration centres as appropriate.
Practice Development
* Be familiar with all major research systems
* Take responsibility for continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
* Attend forums and workshops as appropriate.
Team responsibilities
* Project a professional image in both appearance and attitude and provide quality support on time to agreed standards.
* Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, clients and third parties
What We’re Looking For:
* Be working towards or have the desire to gain a diploma/chartered qualification.
* Experience in creating and maintaining systems, processes and procedures.
* Intermediate/advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* Able to balance conflicting demands and work to deadlines, ensuring quality is never compromised.
* Able to work autonomously and remotely whilst maintaining a team approach.
* Able to transpose information accurately.
* Able to replay client wants, needs, problems and consequences of no action.
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Able to build strong relationships with others by delivering on promises and dealing with queries effectively and courteously.
Role Details:
* Hours: Monday to Friday
* Salary: £28,000
* Type: 34 hours per week / Permanent
