Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capability to join a busy, well-established workshop specialising in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.
This role offers a great mix of work from modern vehicles using the latest diagnostic systems to older models where solid mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability are essential. This is not a role for someone purely reliant on diagnostics; we are looking for a well-rounded technician who can confidently handle both.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair complex faults using ODIS and VAGCOM (no other diagnostic systems used)
* Work across a range of VW/Audi vehicles, including both modern and older models
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and MOT preparation
* Complete accurate job cards and service records
* Ensure all work meets high standards and manufacturer guidelines
* Work efficiently to meet productivity targets
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Requirements
* Proven full diagnostic experience
* Experience using ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System)
* Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly on older vehicles
* Air-conditioning trained
* Own tools
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
* Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
