Job Purpose
Ensure the safe and effective operation of remote vehicles and associated systems to meet project objectives on the nominated vessel. Follow all aspects of ROV operations according to the ROV Operations Manual and Business Management System (BMS). Assist with offshore training and development of ROV Pilot Technician Grade 4 and 3 personnel.
Job Description
1. Assist with ROV operations following approved procedures and TechnipFMC QHS&E policies.
2. Complete daily documentation and produce accurate reports and project deliverables.
3. Perform maintenance on remote vehicles and systems as scheduled.
4. Assist with system stock control and procurement of parts/materials.
5. Report corrective actions and equipment breakdowns.
6. Maintain good housekeeping in the ROV work area.
7. Perform tasks within your capability as directed by management.
8. Support launch and recovery of ROV systems.
You are meant for this job if:
* You hold a recognized Technician qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic subjects, with a minimum of HNC or equivalent.
* You possess current offshore survival and medical certification to UK and Norwegian standards.
Preferred qualifications include:
* HND in relevant engineering fields.
* High Voltage Safety Awareness, Basic Hydraulics, and Working at Height certifications.
Experience required
* Experience operating and maintaining ROVs and launch systems.
* Knowledge of safety legislation, accident reporting, and company safety systems.
* Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and assist with maintenance and fault location.
* Minimum of 200 hours piloting ROVs offshore.
* Ability to perform manipulator duties and operate in various conditions.
