Job title: Patient Pathway Administrator / Receptionist
Department: Cancer Centre
Band: Band 3 - £25,760 - £27,476 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 15 hours per week; flexible working available
Job responsibilities
* Facilitate smooth running of reception and clinic areas
* Schedule and book appointments, ensuring patient-centered communication
* Coordinate and streamline communication across clinical teams
* Meet and greet visitors to the department
* Support compliance with Clinical Governance and Risk Management
Person specification
Qualifications & knowledge
* Good standard of education
* Basic computer skills / knowledge of CRS
* Knowledge of confidentiality importance
* Knowledge of medical and clinical terms and issues
Experience
* Experience using IT packages including CRS
* Experience working within a customer services environment
* NHS experience
* Experience in a healthcare environment
Skills
* Good IT skills relevant to NHS databases
* Good use of initiative
* Well-developed organisational skills
* Sensitive and understanding of individual circumstances
* Ability to work under pressure
Communication
* Good communication skills, including telephone techniques
* Polite and courteous to all visitors
