Overview
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a podiatrist to join our friendly and dedicated team based in the borough of Bexley. This is a permanent position working 4 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Assess and plan individual patient care for foot health across community health settings, domiciliary and residential homes.
* Treat high-risk foot conditions, including diabetic, rheumatoid, vascular/ischaemic long-term conditions; develop treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Work independently and as part of a team; communicate effectively and contribute to team building.
* Participate in specialist rotations including nail surgery, biomechanics clinic, and the acute MDfT wound clinic (outpatient clinics and wards).
* Collaborate with district nursing colleagues, the acute MDfT, and the Surgical Appliances department.
* Engage in professional development with regular supervision and access to the Preceptorship Programme (Oxleas AHP Preceptorship).
Qualifications and Skills
* GMC-registered podiatrist or equivalent.
* Strong communication and diagnostic skills; ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience in managing foot health in high-risk patient groups is desirable.
