About the Role
As a supply teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in a range of subjects, depending on your specialism and school requirements. Assignments may be short-term, long-term, or day-to-day cover.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
* Adapt quickly to different school settings, policies, and student needs
* Follow lesson plans provided by the school, or create engaging lessons where required
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress when necessary
* Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3 and KS4)
* Strong classroom management skills
* Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude
* Ability to teach at least one subject specialism (all subject areas considered)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
