Role: Head of External Partnerships
Location: Birmingham (at least two days/week on site)
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000
Contract: Permanent, full-time
We're delighted to be partnered with a unique business in their search for a Head of External Partnerships. This role will see you managing a sizeable team responsible for new business development and generation of long-term strategic partnerships with external commercial businesses.
As the Head of External Partnerships, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting a three year strategic commercial plan during a period of heavy transformation
* Creating a feasible commercial sales target and developing a plan with your team to achieve said target
* Driving the growth of commercial partnerships with external enterprises
* Identifying business opportunities through market research and developing business plans to capitalise
* Working with the marketing and operations team to enact business proposals
* Managing an experienced team of business development professionals
* Monitoring ongoing performance of commercial activities using sales and financial metrics
* Preparing reports for the senior leadership team, and presenting updates to the directorship
* Continuous improvement of business development strategies, and training colleagues as necessary
This is a strategic and senior-operating hire that will be both on the tools, but also dealing with senior leadership on a daily basis, and actively working towards a massive new growth trajectory from the business.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* To be highly experienced as a Head of Commercial or Commercial Director
* Proven experience in sales and/or marketing
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to business partner senior leadership
* Team management skills, leading a sizeable business development team
* Skilled at creating insightful reports and monitoring commercial progress
Please note this role is based at least two days/week in Birmingham and will require infrequent travel.
