Sacro’s mission is to deliver life-changing services that empower people, give hope and protection, and help to build safe communities. Fulltime workers are required for our Avert service operating in Glasgow and surrounding areas. This service provides high quality monitoring and supervision for people we support who are assessed as being at high risk of causing harm and/or reoffending, to ensure public protection and community safety. To join this team, you will need experience of working with offenders and/or working in a social care setting. This work is challenging and rewarding. You will need to have a non-judgmental value base, good inter personal and communication skills, and be flexible to meet the changing needs of our services. You will also need to be able to work as part of a team and to agreed plans. Working patterns are varied and can include split shifts, weekend and evening work as required by the needs of the service. A valid driving license and access to a car are essential for this post. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme will be a requirement for the above posts for which Sacro will cover the cost. We welcome applications from individuals who share Sacro’s aims and values and want to engage with those we support to help them move on to a more secure, settled and fulfilling life and value diversity from all sections of the community.
