The college is looking to appoint an Electrical Installation Lecturer on a temporary basis to deliver and support Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation programmes to full time and part time learners.
The main focus of the role will be to deliver engaging electrical installation teaching, act as programme tutor for a learner caseload and support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into industry or further study.
This role would suit an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer or an industry professional with strong electrical knowledge who is either qualified to teach or willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
The Role:
* Deliver Electrical Installation teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes
* Act as programme tutor for a designated group of learners
* Plan lessons and maintain schemes of work and teaching files
* Assess learner work and track progress in line with quality procedures
* Manage learner behaviour, attendance and engagement
* Maintain accurate records including registers and learner progress
The Person:
* Holds a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent
* Minimum Level 2 maths and English
* Strong knowledge of electrical installation and current industry practice
* Experience teaching in FE or demonstrable potential to deliver high quality teaching
* Confident managing learners in a classroom or workshop setting
