Nursery Assistant - Cheltenham
Full-Time | £14.30 - £16.15 per hour | Through Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young children who is passionate about Early Years education and child development.
Formal qualifications are not required for this role, although relevant CPD or childcare training would be beneficial. Shifts may vary and will typically fall between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm, offering flexibility across the nursery day.
The Role:
* Supporting children within a Nursery Setting
* Assisting the room leads and staff with daily activities and mealtimes (you are not expected to do personal care)
* Supporting learning through play-based and structured activities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support where needed
* Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young children (school, nursery, childcare setting, etc.)
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
* Creativity and ability to problem solve
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
