About the Role:
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Studies to join a vibrant and supportive Humanities faculty at one of our partner secondary schools in Coventry (CV5). The successful candidate will deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons in line with the UK national curriculum guidelines.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the Humanities faculty.
Support the promotion of a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and debate.
Cover lessons across the Humanities curriculum (e.g., History, Geography, Citizenship) when required.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to departmental reporting and meetings.
Engage with parents/carers and external stakeholders to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Participate in whole-school initiatives, CPD opportunities, and staff development programmes.

Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching Religious Studies in a UK secondary school
Strong knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum and effective teaching strategies
Willingness and capability to teach other Humanities subjects when required
Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
