At Chemist4U, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Product to lead our product management function and shape the future of our digital platforms, customer journeys, and internal tools.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic thinking with structured decision-making and strong coaching. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across technology, design, engineering, operations and the wider business to define where we focus our efforts, how we prioritise work, and how we deliver meaningful outcomes for both customers and the business.
Your influence will span the full product lifecycle, from ecommerce experiences to pharmacy operations, helping us build a strong product culture rooted in insight, evidence, and customer‑centric thinking.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Product will be responsible for leading and owning the following key areas:
Product Strategy and Direction
* Shape product direction in collaboration with senior leaders and functional partners
* Identify high‑value opportunities that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance
* Ensure product priorities are guided by insight, evidence, and clear strategic reasoning.
Roadmaps & Prioritisation
* Use structured prioritisation frameworks grounded in data, insight, and business needs
* Ensure teams have clarity on focus, context, and constraints.
Product Operating Model
* Establish and evolve a clear product operating model across teams, ensuring consistent and effective ways of working
* Define how product discovery, prioritisation, decision‑making, and measurement should work across the organisation
* Ensure teams understand expectations, processes, and how work flows end‑to‑end.
Customer Insight & Discovery
* Promote best‑practice discovery techniques and help teams deeply understand customer needs
* Champion evidence‑based decision‑making using research, analytics, and experimentation
* Ensure teams validate assumptions early and often.
Leadership & Team Development
* Build and develop a high‑performing team of Product Managers
* Coach the team to strengthen product craft, critical thinking, communication, and stakeholder influence
* Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with senior leadership, design (UI/UX), engineering, delivery, and operational teams to align on priorities
* Communicate product strategy, roadmap decisions, and outcomes clearly
* Facilitate structured trade-offs between scope, value, risk, and timelines
* Bring a calm, balanced, and politically aware approach that helps navigate differing opinions and align people around shared goals.
Value & Performance
* Define success metrics for product outcomes and ensure teams measure what matters
* Review product performance, insights, and data to inform direction and prioritisation
* Maintain focus on measurable improvements for customers and the business.
About You
As Head of Product, you’ll thrive in this role if you:
* Bring structure, clarity, and strategic thinking to complex environments
* Enjoy building teams and elevating product craft
* Collaborate naturally with design, engineering, and operational functions
* Communicate clearly and influence with evidence and insight
* Are customer‑focused, commercially aware, and comfortable making pragmatic decisions
* Thrive in a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented organisation
* Influence through empathy and clarity rather than authority
* Ensure stakeholders feel included, respected, and aligned throughout the product operating model.
Qualifications & Experience
This role requires an experienced product leader with the capability to scale teams, shape strategy, and deliver impactful digital products in a complex, fast‑growing environment.
* Experience leading product teams in digital, ecommerce, or platform environments
* Strong track record shaping product direction and delivering meaningful outcomes
* Deep understanding of product management practices, discovery, and prioritisation frameworks
* Experience working closely with engineering, design, and cross‑functional stakeholders
* Experience developing, coaching, and hiring Product Managers
* Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated sectors
* Familiarity with cloud‑native environments or modern ecommerce architectures
* Experience with experimentation, personalisation, or data‑driven product optimisation.
