PMLD Learning Support Assistant – Specialist School

Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced PMLD Learning Support Assistant to join a brilliant specialist school in Gateshead. The school is known for its positive, inclusive atmosphere and fantastic team of support staff, making it a truly enjoyable place to work.
Your daily role will involve:
* Providing 1:1 tailored support for pupils with complex learning needs
* Supporting multi-sensory learning activities
* Helping pupils engage with communication devices and visual systems
* Assisting with personal care routines
* Supporting pupils during outdoor learning and life skills sessions
* Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
Experience required:
* Experience supporting pupils with PMLD or severe learning difficulties
* Previous work in a SEND school environment
* Confidence assisting with physical and personal care needs
* A genuine passion for supporting complex learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
