Reports to: General Counsel As Senior Legal Counsel, you will work directly with our front office teams across our global data, media and exchange businesses. Drawing on your background in digital assets, financial markets or fintech, you will negotiate with sophisticated financial institutions, businesses and technology partners throughout the digital assets ecosystem. Role & Responsibilities Provide commercially-minded legal advice on transactions, partnerships, products and services for our data, media and exchange businesses. Structure, negotiate and deliver all the legal aspects of sales, licensing and various other types of commercial transactions with our customers, partners, counterparties and service providers. Assist the front office teams to evaluate and access new business opportunities and transactions, developing structures and documentation as necessary. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on cross-functional projects to launch new commercial offerings. Opportunity to expand areas of support to include M&A, IP, data privacy, corporate governance, investments and other areas and initiatives based on interest and ability. Work with our inhouse regulatory team to navigate relevant regimes. Uphold our standards for compliance, ethics and corporate governance. Develop effective and scalable processes and contribute to our knowledge base and standard procedures. Stay abreast of developments in the digital assets industry and implications for our business. Experience & Qualifications US, UK or common-law jurisdictions qualified with 5-10 years PQE in top tier global law firms and/or in-house Fintech or financial services industries. Knowledgeable in digital assets, fintech businesses and related financial services, with strong commercial acumen in these areas. Experienced in different types of transactions relevant to financial services, technology, data licensing and adjacent areas. Able to analyze novel situations, identify risks and opportunities and exercise sound judgment in addressing them. Strong drafting and negotiating skills. Excellent at collaborating and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proactive, hands-on, flexible and professional.
