As a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe we are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to ensure that business services/solutions are implemented and integrated securely with existing systems. They work closely with business and IT teams to support group security rules and associated service offerings.
What You'll Be Doing
* Responsibility for assuring that services are implemented and operated in accordance with Group Security and local BU requirements.
* Security Policies and Standards: support the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and standards; assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards alignment with Group Policy.
* Security Risk Management: support the identification, assessment, and management of risks related to information security and supporting the teams who implement the risk mitigation strategies to protect against potential threats.
* Security Awareness and Training, Business Engagement & Communications: support and delivery of employee education on security best practices and the importance of cybersecurity. Conduct regular training sessions and phishing simulations to reinforce security awareness. Security Analysts may also train employees in security best practices and provide advice to management/projects on investments to safeguard the company's IT estate.
* Identity Governance: support identity best practice activities e.g. access reviews, and support governance/compliance activities
* Project Support: support assuring that the organisation complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards during project delivery.
* Third Party Risk Assessments & Vendor Support: liaise with third party service/software providers to review security compliance.
* Compliance, Audit & Reporting: perform security audits and assessments to identify and address gaps in the security posture.
What We're Looking For
* Preferably 2 years' + experience in risk, security or IT.
* Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills (written/verbal) and a proven ability to work with all levels of business stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical capability to quickly analyse, problem-solve and triage tasks.
* Ability to adopt new technical skills, maintain own knowledge on new technologies, in addition to a good level of awareness across a broad range of IT solutions.
* Appreciation of Cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) and related cloud deployment types (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
* Experience of certifications/compliance requirements such as Cyber Essentials, PCI DSS and ISO27000.
* Experience of GRC processes and activities.
* Experience of documentation and/or process writing.
* Experience of creating reports / management information for senior management/Exec teams.
* Educated to degree level in a Business / IT discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* Occasional travel and overnight stays required.
