We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for improving quality & safety within NHS Lothian.
* With proven experience in leading service improvement across pathways of care.
* Embedding continuous quality improvement as an integral part of planning and delivery of clinical care.
* Taking forward quality improvement programmes, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary QI leads across the acute sites.
These appointments will initially lead work within the Adverse Events or Mental Health improvement programmes. As quality improvement advisors you will work across the health board on key programmes which respond to areas of patient safety and harm reduction. As such, changes to programme and/or working base within NHS Lothian may be required as project work emerges.
Expertise in change management is essential, with the ability to engage, motivate, challenge and influence multi-disciplinary teams to achieve change at a managerial and clinical level.
Applicants must have experience of coaching for improvement and experience in training in quality improvement techniques such as model for improvement.
Applicants must have proven improvement expertise and project management experience. The successful candidate must therefore have an ability to analyse a range of qualitative and quantitative data, processing this data using and developing measurement frameworks, using Microsoft Excel, Visio and Word. The production of reports providing feedback on progress is a key function of these posts.
The successful candidate must have well developed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with staff at all levels within and out with the organisation. A flexible approach to work and an ability to work well within teams is also essential.
