The Engineering function at the GSK Ware Manufacturing and Supply site is responsible for the provision of technical expertise to support the manufacturing, automation and controls systems for all production operations to ensure production targets are achieved. The Respiratory Supply Chain (RSC) engineering team works on shift to provide engineering expertise to support production activities.
Responsibilities
* Managing and developing People, Plant and/or Equipment and/or Process understanding across the Ware Site.
* Working alongside fellow engineers, contractors, suppliers and consultants to deliver a range of engineering‑related activities to agreed levels of quality, cost, time and tangible benefits.
* Having responsibility for the overall performance of the process, including making improvements to ensure delivery of the Site's commercial strategy.
* Supporting regulatory auditor questions during inspections.
Shift
This role is a shift role which currently operates on Double Days – 16/5 (earlies & lates 8‑hour) shifts, which operate during the working week (Monday to Friday). Up to 50% of hours worked are outside normal hours, requiring a high degree of self‑reliance and the ability to assess the impact of non‑standard safety and/or quality events.
About You
This role would suit a motivated person who has strong experience of working in a complex GMP environment. You will be a qualified engineer, with strong people skills. A proven ability to drive performance is a must. It is imperative that you demonstrate an ability to drive common‑thinking, with a focus on providing solutions. You will need to be persuasive, have a strong continuous improvement mindset, and have proven experience dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Ideally you have worked in a highly‑regulated industry.
About Ware Site
We are co‑located with our R&D colleagues and recently opened a new, state‑of‑the‑art oral solid dose facility at Ware. On site we produce over 60 million respiratory inhalers each year with growing demand in future years. The site also processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for use both on site and at other manufacturing sites in our network.

Basic Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience (e.g., Engineering HND/degree and relevant experience).
* Knowledge / experience in current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
* Engineering management experience, ideally obtained from working in a highly‑regulated manufacturing environment.
