About The Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people who may have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. You'll be part of a dedicated team committed to helping them heal, grow, and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Providing emotional and practical support to children and young people
* Helping to create a warm, safe, and homely environment
* Supporting daily routines such as education, meals, hobbies, and bedtime
* Managing challenging behaviours with empathy and consistency
* Promoting independence, confidence, and life skills
* Keeping accurate records and working as part of a professional care team
Experience and Qualifications
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people
* Patience, resilience, and a strong sense of empathy
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* 5 years of experience in a children’s residential care setting is essential
* Must be a driver with own car
* QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare OR NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
