Key Responsibilities:
Provide a high-quality, research-informed casework service within the Children’s Safeguarding Team.
Support families and children through assessment, intervention, and multi-agency collaboration.
Advise and consult with colleagues across multidisciplinary teams on safeguarding issues and social care best practices.
Deliver training, consultation, and supervision to junior staff and student social workers, as directed by the Senior Practitioner.
Manage complex caseloads effectively, responding to referrals and delivering child-centred interventions.
Lead or contribute to holistic assessments, taking into account the influence of diversity, cultural values, and human rights.
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to data systems to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent UK-recognised body).
Substantial experience within children’s safeguarding or child protection.
Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and multi-agency working.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit, collaborative team.
