Responsibilities and Duties:
* Hours: Monday to Friday. Mandatory participation in an out-of-hours rota.
* Interview process: 2-stage process.
* Contract: 12-month fixed term.
* Role purpose: To attend customer sites to provide support on IT hardware and software products, within the required Service Level Agreement (SLA). To work efficiently and proactively to deliver IT support services to a wide range of customers.
* Undertake advanced diagnostics, repair, and replacement of PCs, laptops, printers, servers, relevant network support, retail equipment, and peripherals.
* Complete customer rebuilds and configurations to desk.
* Assist other engineers in delivering services to customers.
* Cover site roles as required due to planned or unplanned absences.
* Achieve the dynamic KPI targets set for the role.
* Communicate with Call Administration teams and the Field Delivery Manager to manage call details and understand SLA requirements.
* Utilise a mobile device to update calls and work progress in real time, including RMA generation and part movements.
* Carry out IMAC projects with minimal supervision and lead when required.
* Embrace and train on new technologies, maintaining required skills and knowledge.
* Perform any other reasonable requests from management.
* Participate in 24/7 coverage via a rota system.
* Work overtime as needed.
* Practice ‘Quick Win’ processes.
* Mentor other engineers when required.
* Comply with company policies, health & safety regulations, and maintain assets.
* Be familiar with customer policies and procedures where applicable.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
* Always professional and presentable.
* Full UK driving license.
* Excellent customer-facing skills.
* Ability to obtain SC Clearance or willingness to apply.
* Self-motivated with good organizational skills, able to work unsupervised.
* Relevant technical certifications or equivalent knowledge/experience.
* Possess or can obtain CompTIA A+ and Server+ qualifications.
* Ability to work at heights and perform manual handling activities.
* Positive behaviors supporting team productivity.
* High standard of communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
* At least CompTIA A+ and Server+ certifications or equivalent knowledge/experience.
