Support Worker - Cardiff (Hafod Colleagues Only)
We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a current Hafod colleague to join our team as a Support Worker within Cardiff. This position is open to Hafod colleagues only.
This is a part-time, permanent role, working 12 hours per week.
Working pattern: two 6-hour shifts across 2 days as part of a rota. You will need to be flexible with your working days to meet the needs of our customers and other services when cover is required.
Requirements: A full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential.
What you'll do
You will work with established staff to support customers in enhancing their practical skills and knowledge in tenancy management, aiding their journey to independent living. Your role will involve providing housing-related support activities in line with the Housing Support Grant specifications and outcomes.
What you'll need
Successful candidates will have experience supporting individuals with complex support needs, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build supportive relationships. Experience working in a psychologically/trauma-informed way, supporting people affected by ACEs and mental health issues, would be advantageous. A qualification in Social Care or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
Again, a full, current driving licence and use of a vehicle are required.
