Staffline are recruiting for a Prison Custody Officer to work for our client, a leading global security and outsourcing business, in Rugby. Earn £28,015.90 per annum, with incremental pay rises at year 1 and year 2, rising to £29,457.85 per annum after 2 years' service. You will work across a variety of shifts in this full-time role including days, nights and weekends. Each week, you will work an average of 39 hours, with the option to increase to 44 hours per week (the starting salary for this would be £31,607.68). Successful candidates must undergo 10 years vetting, a DBS enhanced check, adults list check and a HMPPS check. Your Time at Work Your time at work will consist of playing a key role in providing prisoners with structure and routine. You will make sure prisoners are actively engaging in education or work within the prison regime and securing them in their cell in the evening. The people in your care will have a variety of different needs. Your role is to ensure those individuals are treated with dignity and respect, to help them find a new way of life, in a safe, secure and structured environment. Our Perfect Worker Our perfect Prison Custody Officer would be able to demonstrate integrity, resilience and strong communication skills, to thrive in this role. No specific qualifications or relevant experience are required in this role. Full training is provided, designed to equip successful candidates with the skills and knowledge to deliver every aspect of being an effective Prison Custody Officer.
