Overview
Axcis Education is working with an independent specialist provision seeking a full-time Early Literacy Skills Specialist. The successful candidate will be trained in Early Literacy Skills and confident in delivering lessons that support students aged 8–16 with ASD, ADHD and Complex Needs. This role involves teaching on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This is a full-time teaching opportunity starting after half term. The hours are 9:00–16:45. The salary range is £25,000–£40,000, depending on SEND experience and qualifications, and you must have QTS. The provision welcomes learners with a wide range of SEND needs including SEMH, Trauma, ADHD and ASD. Every student has an EHCP and most benefit from 1:1 support, ensuring a highly supportive teaching environment. With multiple sites and excellent facilities, the school is dedicated to creating opportunities where students can succeed both academically and personally.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons in Early Literacy Skills on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Adapt teaching to meet diverse needs and backgrounds.
* Collaborate with the team to support students with SEND needs.
* Maintain a supportive, caring environment that aligns with the school ethos.
Qualifications & Experience
* Be a qualified teacher with SEND experience.
* Have training in Early Literacy Skills.
* Be able to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs.
* Have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
