Housing Property Compliance Officer
* Daily Rate: £279.82 PAYE to £400 via Umbrella
* Location: Rotherham
* Job Type: Hybrid (ideally 2 days in the office, minimum of 1)
Join a dedicated team at a Local Authority in Rotherham as a Housing Property Compliance Officer. This role involves ensuring that housing stock remains compliant with all regulatory and legislative requirements, as well as Council objectives. You will be a pivotal figure in assuring tenants, the Senior Leadership Team, and Cabinet about compliance with the Regulator’s Safety and Quality Standard.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee and ensure compliance across all housing properties in line with regulatory and legislative standards.
* Lead a high-performing, experienced compliance team to maintain and enhance property standards.
* Regularly report to the Head of Housing Property Services on compliance status and any issues.
* Develop and implement strategies to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
* Liaise with various stakeholders including tenants, senior leadership, and external regulators to ensure transparency and adherence to standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Extensive experience and knowledge in social housing compliance.
* Proven track record of managing and leading teams.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements in housing.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to strategise, implement, and maintain compliance protocols effectively.
