Psychology or Criminology Graduate – 1:1 SEMH Support Role

Want to work closely with one young person and make a real difference?
We’re recruiting a graduate to work 1:1 with a secondary pupil in a Gateshead SEMH provision.
This pupil needs someone consistent, patient and firm but fair.
Your role:
* Providing daily 1:1 academic and emotional support
* Supporting de-escalation during challenging moments
* Encouraging engagement and positive routines
* Liaising with teachers and pastoral staff
* Monitoring and reporting progress
This is a brilliant stepping stone for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Youth Justice, Social Work or Teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
