Assist in the provision of a warm caring environment for children and their families, accessible to all
- Provide high quality childcare for under fives, which includes planning for a wide range of exciting activities and opportunities which meet the developmental needs and interests of each child
- Have an awareness of the seven areas of the EYFS from observations and following the children's interests
- To integrate children and parents with disabilities, sensitively and positively into The Beehive, promoting participation in a range of quality activities and experiences, based on the child's interests
- To actively research and contribute to long term and medium-term planning
- Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies (where needed) regularly through parent's evenings and daily opportunities to share the child's achievements through termly target setting and their Learning Pathway and to highlight any concerns you may have
- Work alongside with the Key Persons and SENCo to share concerns a child may have and discuss an action plan and suitable next steps (for example, implementing a Support Plan)
- Ensure someone known and agreed by the nursery and parent collects the child
- To respect the confidentiality of all information received
- Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures. You must take responsibility for ensuring you keep up to date with any changes
- To seek support from senior staff whenever necessary
- To have a group of Key Children
