Role Overview: As School Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the school’s reception area and providing administrative support to staff and leadership. Your work will ensure that the school maintains a professional, organised, and welcoming environment for everyone who enters the site. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy school setting. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist visitors, parents, and staff in a professional and friendly manner. Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and manage general enquiries promptly and accurately. Maintain the school’s reception area, ensuring it is tidy, safe, and welcoming. Manage student attendance records and support staff with signing in/out procedures. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry. Support the coordination of school events, meetings, and parent communications. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies. Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required. Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a reception, administrative, or customer service role, ideally in an educational setting. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional manner. Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems. Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
