The Opportunity
We are currently supporting a biogas plant project in the renewable energy sector and are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join on a contract basis. This is an on-site role based around Birmingham, supporting key commissioning phases of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute electrical commissioning activities on a biogas plant
* Perform I/O checks and loop checks
* Support both cold and hot commissioning phases
* Work with Siemens PLC systems
* Maintain effective communication with the client and project stakeholders
* Provide on-site technical support throughout commissioning
Requirements
* Strong electrical engineering background
* Proven experience commissioning industrial or process plants
* Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC systems
* Experience with I/O checks and commissioning procedures
* Previous biogas experience is highly desirable
* Candidates with an oil & gas background will also be considered
* Must be based locally to Birmingham (±15 miles)
* Willingness to travel if required
