An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Officer to join our team to cover Maternity Leave.

About the Role

Are you an organised, enthusiastic, and motivated professional seeking your next rewarding challenge? We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Support Officer to join our dedicated team on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave.

As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting care teams and senior management across seven locations within Bath and North East Somerset. Your primary base will be one of our welcoming care homes in Twerton, with the flexibility to occasionally work from our other sites. In addition to providing high-quality business support, you will collaborate closely with our Bank Services Team, ensuring the smooth operation of essential services.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates excellent numerical and word processing abilities, with strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. You will be approachable, confident, and presentable, with a genuine interest in contributing to a caring environment. A commitment to confidentiality and discretion is essential.

About You

* Good numerical and word processing skills
* Strong Knowledge/experience of MS Word and MS Excel
* Friendly, confident, well-presented and customer focused.
* Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
* An appreciation of need for confidentiality and discretion.
* Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage workloads, to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines.
* Confident team player.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Flexible and ability to adapt your approach to duties.
* Willingness to undertake training and learn new systems.
* Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and follow up on actions
* Supervise junior administrative staff.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with council policies
* Liaise with internal departments and external partners
* Proven experience in a senior administrative role
