Family Solicitor – Brighouse (with flexibility across Cleckheaton and Holmfirth) A respected boutique law firm with offices in Cleckheaton, Brighouse, and Holmfirth is looking for a Family Solicitor to join their close-knit, supportive team. The firm focuses solely on private family work and does not undertake legal aid. They’re particularly keen to find someone who can take the lead on private children cases, but if your expertise lies more in financial work arising from divorce, they’d still love to hear from you. What you’ll be doing: Managing a varied caseload of family matters Meeting clients and providing clear, practical advice Drafting legal documents and preparing cases for court Conducting legal research and developing case strategies Representing clients in court and at hearings What we’re looking for: Experience handling private family matters – ideally children or financial work Confident communicator with strong drafting and client care skills Someone who’s proactive, organised, and comfortable running their own files Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate Mediation experience or an interest in out-of-court resolution would be a bonus The role is primarily based in Brighouse, but there’s flexibility if Cleckheaton or Holmfirth suits you better.
