Overview
We are working with a well-established software and technology organisation that is looking to add an Application Analyst to their team. This role focuses on supporting business-critical applications, diagnosing system issues, and working with internal teams to ensure systems remain stable, secure, and performing effectively.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in application support, infrastructure support, or systems administration who enjoys troubleshooting and improving system performance.
* Support and maintain business applications used across the organisation
* Investigate and resolve system and application issues reported by users
* Diagnose performance issues across servers, databases, and applications
* Monitor system performance and respond to alerts from monitoring tools
* Work with internal teams to resolve incidents and identify root causes
* Assist with implementing system updates, fixes, and improvements
* Create and review change control requests for system changes
* Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures
* Support system monitoring and help ensure platforms remain stable and secure
What They’re Looking For
* Experience in application support, infrastructure support, or system administration
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of network troubleshooting tools (e.g. ping, tracert, PowerShell commands)
* Exposure to database environments and performance troubleshooting
* Experience using system monitoring tools
* Understanding of change management / ITIL processes
* Experience with SQL databases
* Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor or similar
* PowerShell scripting knowledge
* Experience working within structured IT environments with incident and change management processes
