💼 About the Role
We're looking for a highly motivated Account Executive – [Region] (New Business) to join our commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to bring subscription-based maritime security solutions to an industry that has historically relied on transactional services and manual processes.
This isn't a standard relationship sales role. You'll be selling strategic, high-impact digital transformation that changes how maritime companies manage security, compliance, and risk. Think of this as running your own territory — not simply leveraging existing relationships but driving real commercial change through consultative selling. Our top performers grow into regional leadership roles as we scale.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
* Own the full new business sales cycle: proactively generate leads, prospect into target accounts, build and qualify pipeline, develop opportunities, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and close new subscription deals
* Drive outbound activity to create brand-new opportunities across ship owners, fleet managers, and maritime operators. As a hunter you will generate your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, while also converting high-quality trial signups and inbound leads
* Build strong relationships with economic buyers and key stakeholders (CSOs, Fleet Managers, Operations Directors) to accelerate deal cycles and maximize new ARR growth
* Manage and grow a portfolio of early-stage accounts, ensuring prompt follow-up on trials and delivering against annual ARR targets
* Collaborate closely with Intelligence, Operations, and Product teams to demonstrate platform value and secure high-impact wins
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date pipeline forecasts in Monday.com across monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
* Consistently close new business at or above quota, demonstrating strong negotiation and deal-making skills
* Contribute to shaping and improving our SaaS sales processes and go-to-market strategy, helping to scale a high-performing commercial engine
Requirements (Essential):
* 3+ years of demonstrable success in a New Business Sales role — selling B2B SaaS, subscription technology, or data solutions
* Significant experience generating and qualifying brand-new business opportunities; familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar qualification framework is preferred
* Strong hunter mentality with a track record of achieving or exceeding quota ($400K+ ARR preferred)
* Thrives in fast-paced, unstructured, and constantly evolving environments
* A collaborative team player who prioritizes long-term value for the business and the wider team
* Excellent sales negotiation and closing skills
* Strong consultative selling approach, with great discovery and communication skills
* Ability to analyze complex client needs and translate them into actionable solutions
* Fluent English (additional languages: [Greek/German/Mandarin/etc.] are a strong plus)
Preferred:
* Experience within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry or selling to maritime clients
* Track record selling $25-75K ACV deals with 2-4 month sales cycles
* Comfort working across multiple time zones and with distributed teams
* Experience with remote/hybrid sales motions
Dealbreakers:
* Order-taker mentality expecting warm leads
* Pure relationship sellers without outbound muscle
* Need for constant direction or structured playbooks
* Poor CRM hygiene or pipeline discipline
