Location: Dorothy Goodman School (expected base initially will be 6th Form)
Start Date: 20th August 2026
Salary: Grade 8 | £28,605 - £31,029 FTE (Actual Salary: £20,902 pro-rata 37hrs Term Time or £22,699 37hrs Term Time + 3 weeks holiday club cover.)

The Role: What You will Do
This position offers an excellent opportunity to be a heartbeat of our school community. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our school health provision, providing high-quality care to our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pupil Support: Accompany and support pupils across the school, both inside the classroom and during exciting out-of-school activities.
* First Aid Excellence: Provide a reassuring, high-quality first aid service
* Medication Safety: Assist with the safe administration of medication in line with our Trust policies.
* Smooth Operations: Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and handle health related queries linked to pupils within your area of the school.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who combines professional skill with genuine empathy. You will be a reassuring presence in the school, capable of working independently while being a brilliant team player. Training will be provided by the nurses who work with the school.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Heart & Dedication: A caring, supportive, and collaborative team member.
* Qualified: A current, valid First Aid Certificate / willingness to undertake training within this area and to be a first aider for pupils and adults
* Experienced: Experience providing health support to children and young people, ideally within an educational setting.
* Safety First: A strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
* Organised: Good literacy, numeracy, and administrative skills with a sharp eye for detail.
* Reliable: The ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures diligently.
