Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Nursery Chef to be based at Brondesbury FWC in our Nuffield Health gym.
If you are looking to be part of a team and are passionate about food and children, look no further. We’re Ofsted registered and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, offering a unique range of wellbeing care for children to help them achieve the best possible start in life.
You will need to have good verbal and written English, as well as Food Allergen Awareness training (which we can provide). You’ll be strong on organisation and confident about encouraging children to develop their love of food. You also need an enhanced DBS.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the organisation and operation of our nursery kitchen
* Work with seasonal menus and use fresh ingredients to produce healthy and nutritional food
* Order from our nominated suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
* Work within a set budget alongside your manager
* Minimise food waste
* Support laundry and ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen
* Deal with third parties/suppliers
* Work to EHO (environmental health) standards
