Dietitian (rotational)
Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is inviting applications for a Band 5 dietitian to join our acute dietetic department in a rotational posting across a variety of specialty settings. The closing date for applications is 10 June 2026.
Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum (pro rata) | Band: 5 | Contract: Permanent | Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Applicants must be an HCPC registered dietitian or be in a recognised dietetics programme and be on track to qualify and register within the year. Preference will be given to candidates who are HCPC registered or have completed their registration.
Responsibilities
* Daily management of a caseload across a variety of settings over three rotations.
* Provide evidence‑based nutrition support and dietetic interventions to inpatients and facilitate outpatient follow‑up or handover to community colleagues.
* Contribute to departmental learning and service improvement through attendance and input to projects, audit, journal clubs, education groups and team meetings.
Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Dietetics (or currently pursuing)
* Registration with the HCPC (or currently pursuing)
* Membership of the British Dietetic Association
Experience
* Successful completion of dietetics practical/training placement
* Experience of UK/NHS-based dietetic practice
* Experience in both inpatient and outpatient dietetic settings
* Experience of service evaluation or audit
