The company: Driver Project Services are a part of the Driver Group Plc, a global, multidisciplinary consultancy firm which has operated for over 40 years, providing commercial and dispute related services to the construction and engineering industries. Driver Project Services offer a full range of planning, project management and commercial management services for both construction and civil engineering projects. The role: Following our continued successes in securing local work we are seeking a junior planner who is experienced in one of the Infrastructure, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, Defence and complex manufacturing sectors to join our dynamic project controls team. You will play a crucial role in developing, managing and controlling project schedules, ensuring that they align with project & stakeholder requirements and are reflective of the project progress and complexity. The ideal candidate will have a background in the use of Primavera P6 and have 12 months planning and scheduling experience working for an operator on major chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, complex manufacturing, infrastructure, or oil and gas projects. You will also haveexcellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Working on one or more project across the Teesside area. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution. Develop and maintain overall level 1, 2 and 3 project schedules and milestone plans. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust as needed to ensure timely completion. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement relevant strategies to enhance project planning and execution. Work to ensure all project processes and procedures covering the planning, scheduling and progress monitoring activities are well understood and efficiently followed by the project team and all contractors. Key candidate criteria: Have experience in project planning and scheduling experience working for an operator on major chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas projects, including front-end, detailed design and construction phases. You must have unrestricted UK working rights to be eligible to apply. Solid working knowledge with scheduling tools such as Primavera and MS Project. Be Degree qualified (preferred).
