Joiner – Fire Door Installation at NEO Property Solutions Ltd
Location: North (Yorkshire) – travel required.
Salary: Basic to £38,600 + travel and overtime (expected £42‑45k) + benefits.
Overview
We specialize in the installation and maintenance of fire doors – both timber and composite. Our work ranges from schools, hospitals, sports arenas, offices, apartments, social housing, retail outlets to care homes and more. Each day is different, from remedial work on a double-door set to installing new door assemblies, ripping out old surrounds and installing new assembled door sets.
Responsibilities
Our daily tasks involve:
* Conducting remedial work on existing fire door sets and bringing them back to regulation.
* Installing new intermittent strips and upgrading hinges.
* Removing old door surrounds and installing new, fully assembled door sets.
* Maintaining accurate work records on mobile devices.
Requirements
* Reliability – turn up on site on time and ready to work.
* Comfortable using mobile technology to record work; full training will be provided.
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 Carpentry (or equivalent joinery qualification).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Pass a DBS check (we work on occupied property).
* A positive attitude – ability to remain focused and adapt to challenges.
* Experience in repairing and installing fire door sets (highly advantageous).
Working Conditions
* Hours – Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–15:30.
* Travel up to 1.5 hours from home – we try to keep assignments local.
