Strategic Human Resources Advisor (Nationwide Hybrid)
We’re looking for a confident, purposeful and impactful Strategic HR Advisor to join the Rexel People Team. The role supports supply chain, sales network and senior leaders, providing trusted advice, insights and data to influence stakeholder decisions and drive people solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law, including ACAS, CIPD codes, contract law and discrimination rights.
* Provide advice and support on disciplinary, grievance, absence and employee relations cases, and coach line managers.
* Manage a personal caseload of complex employee relation issues and inform Senior Leadership of risks.
* Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and practices that align with organisational goals.
* Respond to and manage diverse situations with a focus on long‑term strategic plans and industry trends.
* Mentor group members, guide People Service Assistants on first‑line cases and support professional growth.
* Apply strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes with managers at all levels.
* Uphold confidentiality, integrity and ethical behaviour at all times.
Qualifications
* Experience in a generalist HR role with at least 5 years of complex case management.
* Commercial awareness and knowledge of the supply chain sector.
* Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently, challenge decisions and foster inclusive, unbiased decision‑making.
* Excellent communication and partnership skills.
